Dr. Manivannan Kaliappan is a distinguished academic leader and strategist with over three decades of experience in higher education, institutional leadership, and industry–academia collaboration. Currently serving as Dean – External Affairs and Professor at RMK Group of Institutions, he has played a pivotal role in accreditation, curriculum innovation, research ecosystems, and large-scale institutional growth.

He is an Executive Committee Member of the Global Engineering Deans Council (GEDC) and Chair of the GEDC India Chapter, and has also been associated with global bodies such as the International Federation for Engineering Education Societies (IFEES). His work focuses on strengthening academic–industry linkages and building future-ready talent pipelines.
